Horticulture, Landscaping and Forestry

The Horticulture part of the program exposes students to a diverse education which includes floriculture : the science and practice of growing, harvesting, storing, designing, and marketing flowering plants; landscape and nursey : design, construction, and maintainence of landscape including arboriculture (trees), turf, and hard scapes. Students also are instructed in the operation of landscape equipment such as tractors and mowers. Vegetable and fruit production through various techniques such as hydroponics is also a portion of the Horticulture program.

 

The natural resources part of the program exposes students to a diverse education which includes forestry, fisheries, wildlife, outdoor leisure activities such as park management, and the various sciences and technologies that support the various activities associated with Natural Resources.
